Who we are

ProLight Media LLC is a boutique video production studio based in Maryland, serving clients across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. This policy explains what happens to information collected through prolightmedia.net. Questions about anything here go to zachary@prolightmedia.net.

What we collect

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message. Nothing else is requested, and there are no accounts, logins or payments on this site.

What we do with it

Your submission is sent straight to our inbox at zachary@prolightmedia.net so we can reply. We use it to answer you and to discuss a possible project — nothing more. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else’s marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

Messages stay in our email for as long as the conversation is useful to us as a business record. You can ask us to delete yours at any time by writing to zachary@prolightmedia.net, and we will.

Spam protection

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person and not a bot. To do that it receives your IP address and basic signals from your browser. Turnstile is designed as a privacy-preserving alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs and does not track you across websites.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to serve the pages — such as IP addresses — and may retain it briefly for security and abuse prevention.

Third-party content

Some pages embed material hosted elsewhere, and those services can set their own cookies once the content loads or plays: Vimeo and YouTube for videos, and Google Fonts for typefaces. Video thumbnails load without starting a player; cookies from Vimeo or YouTube are set when you press play. Their own privacy policies govern that data, not this one.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. We use Metricool to understand how people find and use the site: on each page view it records the address of the page, the size of your browser window and, if you arrived from another site, that site’s address. Like any web request, Metricool also receives your IP address and basic browser information. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

We use this information only to review visits to our site for our own marketing — in particular, to see how our social media is performing and which posts and channels bring people to our site. We look at it in aggregate, we don’t sell it or pass it on to anyone else, and we don’t use it to target ads at individual visitors.

There is no Google Analytics and no Meta Pixel. The only cookies you may encounter come from the embedded video players described above, and only if you play a video.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and organisations, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

You can write to zachary@prolightmedia.net at any time to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. If you would rather not use the form at all, email us directly — it reaches the same inbox.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update it here and revise the date below.
